Islets of Langerhans are irregularly shaped patches of endocrine tissue located within the pancreas. There are about 1 to 2 million Islets of Langerhans in a normal human pancreas. These tissues have two kind of cells namely

straight alpha minus cells space and space straight beta minus cells

. The

straight alpha minus cells space

secrete the glucagon hormone and the

straight beta minus cells

secrete the insulin hormone
