What is the function of hepatopancreas?

Solution
The hepatopancreatic duct release the pancreatic and bile juice into the small intestine for digestion of the food. The pancreatic juices has the enzymes - trypsinogen, chymotrypsinogen, procarboxypeptidases, amylase , lipases and nucleases. The bile contains the bile pigments, bile salts, cholesterol and phospholipids but no enzyme. The pancreatic juice and the bile helps in the breakdown of the complex molecules into simpler molecules for absorption.
