a. It calculated through following formula 
The intensity of cropping = Total cropped area/Net sown area x 100
b. Punjab has the highest index of cropping intensity because here 129 kg/ hectare fertilizers , 11 tractors per thousand hectare, 75 pumping set per thousand hectares are used and 99 % of the gross cropped area is irrigated.

a. Groundnut thrives the best in the tropical climate with rainfall 50 - 75 cm and temperature 20 to 30 C. It thrives in well drained sandy loam. 
b. It is used in the preparation of Soaps and paints. 

Southern part of India i.e. in Karnataka because the state fulfill the condition of growth of coffee plantation that is hill slopes, 800 - 1600 above sea level and temperature between 15 to 30  C. 

West - coast fishing accounts for 75% of the marine fish catch in India.
