ii. Red Soil

iii. Bhangar: Old alluvial soil composed of lime nodules or kankar is called Bhangar. It has a clayey composition.
State any two methods of controlling soil erosion.
Two methods of controlling soil erosion are:
i. Afforestation: The roots of the trees hold on to the soil and prevent soil erosion.
ii. Terrace Farming: In the hilly regions, terrace farming prevents the soil from being washed away by running water.
