In the fair, the boy wants to buy many things. He wants to buy toys and balloons, sweets, a garland of Gulmohar and a ride in the roundabout. But he moves on without waiting for an answer because he knows that his parents will not allow him to get them.
When does he realise that he has lost his way? How have his anxiety and insecurity been described?
When he reaches near the roundabout, he wishes to get a ride on it and he asks his parents for it. When he gets no reply, he turns around to look for his parents. But he finds nobody around him. He realises that he is lost. A full deep cry rises within his dry throat. He cries in fear and calls his parents. Tears roll down from his eyes.
